Instructor Certification: New Certified Instructor Trainer, Chinese Level 2 Instructors Certified

From 16-31 July 2007, eight teachers from the Nanjing College of Information Technology (NJCIT) and one from the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) attended the Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification Program (SMSCP) Instructor Certification Course at Siemens Technik Akademie (STA) in Berlin, Germany. All nine participants completed the program successfully, resulting in the SMSCP’s first Level 2 Certified Instructors.

Two other teachers from KCTCS attended the first week of the program to get exposure to the System Approach paradigm of learning that has been developed by STA Berlin. One of them, Keith Boarman, Coordinator of Technical Training at Owensboro Community and Technical College, received his Certified Instructor Trainer certificate as well.
