Start of the Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification Program in China

On Saturday March 17, Nanjing College of Information Technology (NJCIT) had its first day of live instruction together with student groups as part of the Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification Program (SMSCP). This was the first time that students and teachers engaged in learning together under the auspices of the program.

This marks the result of over two years of planning and preparation to develop and launch the program. Pictured is SMSCP Certfied Instructor Yanping Gan giving a course in Electrical Components, which is Course 1 of the four courses comprising the SMSCP Level 1 curriculum. Also pictured are students in the course who were specially selected for the program.

NJCIT is offering the SMSCP to 62 students in its first batch of three course groups, including a group of 10 Siemens employees taking part in a special accelerated weekend program. The program is being taught in English and the students expect to be ready to take their certification exams in late June or early July.
