Level 1 Instructor Certification

The latest group to achieve recognition as Certified Instructors for Level 1 of the Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification Program (SMSCP) in 2008 was a small group of teachers from the Nanjing College of Information and Technology (NJCIT) in China.

Peng Chen, Qiu Ya Yu and Wang Chun Feng received their Level 1 Certifications, while Gan Yan Ping, who is already certified at Levels 1 and 2, returned to secure her Certified Instructor Trainer certificate. NJCIT Vice President Shi Ze Bo also visited the Siemens Technik Akademie Berlin to learn more about the SMSCP, especially its special teaching and learning approach, which we call System Approach. The System Approach was received with enthusiasm.

During their visit, the teachers were able to get a good impression of how this teaching and learning approach and the course-specific curriculum can be transferred to their college.
Besides the acquisition of technical knowledge and skills, the instructors had the chance to explore Berlin and get to know a few aspects of the city and German history and tradition.
