On November 6^th, 2009, Siemens hosted "The Digital Factory Vision: An educator's approach to the future" at the Siemens Innovation Center in Livonia, Michigan USA. Three Siemens organizations dedicated to excellence in technical education organized the event: GO PLM, Siemens Automation Cooperates with Education (SCE), and Siemens Technik Akademie Berlin, which offers the Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification Program (SMSCP). The event presented Siemens' offerings and partnerships related to future ideas in technical education. Among the speakers were Raj Batra, President of Siemens Industry Automation Division, Siemens Industry Inc. and Dr. Vass Theodoracatos from General Motors and the PACE Partnership. Attendees included representatives from industry as well as from colleges from around the region and beyond.
