The Department of Polytechnic and Community College Education was established on January 1 DPCCE constitutes of 2 major sectors and 7 divisions. The major sectors are Polytechnic Management and Community College Management sector, while the divisions consist of Research and Development, Curriculum Development and Evaluation, Career and Training, Service and Management, Policy Planning and Development, Liaison and Industry, Graduate Tracking & Alumni.
The department is responsible for 64 learning institutions comprised of 27 Polytechnics and 37 Community Colleges to fulfill the human capital needs of Malaysia through strategic management, relevant and dynamic curricula, effective training and career development programs, continuous quality assurance and strong support services based on the National Education Philosophy.

ITE College West

The Institute of Technical Education (ITE), Singapore, was established as a post-secondary education institution in 1992 under the Ministry of Education. ITE is a principal provider of career and technical education and principal authority in developing national occupational skills certification and standards to enhance Singapore's workforce competitiveness. Under its "One ITE System, Three Colleges" Model of Education, ITE governs three Colleges, comprising ITE College Central, ITE College East and ITE College West.
ITE College West was established in 2005 and has over 8000 students enrolled. Students at ITE College West work towards one of 22 Nitec (National ITE Certificate) or 10 Higher Nitec qualifications. ITE College West provides world-class technical education in mechatronics as well as other technical, business, service and continuing education areas. ITE College West is the Preferred Provider of SMSCP Level 1 course-specific follow-up Instructor Certification training within the territory that includes the ten member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

Nanjing College of Information Technology (NJCIT)
Nanjing College of Information Technology (NJCIT) in Nanjing, China, is a Certified Partner School in the Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification Program. Established in 1953, NJCIT has an extremely high employment placement rate for its graduates. It currently has over 10,000 enrolled students in programs ranging from Business and Foreign Languages to IT and of course Mechatronic Engineering.

Yeungnam College of Science and Technology
Yeungnam College of Science and Technology has a 40 year tradition and is one of the top technical colleges in South Korea. It is located in Nam-gu, Daegu, South Korea and offers two- and three- year degree programs in a variety of technical fields. Enrollment has risen dramatically over the years; the first graduating class in 1970 numbered 68, while the class of 2004 numbered 1,818. Today about 5700 students are enrolled at the college from which 600 are studying Mechatronics and 40 students are planning to participate in the Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification Program.
Yeungnam College of Science and Technology aims at becoming a hub college of Northeast Asia where students, schools and industries can communicate, while providing vocational education that connects the nation with the world.
