Level 1 - Siemens Certified Mechatronic Systems Assistant
Students who are certified at Level 1 have demonstrated that they have acquired the knowledge to fulfill the tasks given in the Level 1 Job Profile. Level 1 corresponds to what might be called an “intelligent machine operator” or a machine operator with what is called Handlungskompetenz. Emphasis is placed on efficiently operating complex mechatronic systems and troubleshooting and foreseeing problems. Handlungskompetenz refers to the ability to independently adapt to and be effective in new working environments, but also encompasses a larger skill set beyond pure technical competence: social aspects, team working, networking skills, and knowledge transfer skills also play a key role.
Students who secure Level 1 certification further equip themselves with the industry-standard system skills that will make them even more competitive in today’s job market. Schools benefit from the richer program offerings and by having a closer connection to the needs of employers in industry.
